Soo I screwed up my arm playin too much guitar recently, and had to give it a rest for a good while. But it's healed now (more or less) and I'm able to play again, woo! I did have to kinda change my technique though, to prevent further injury. Oh yea, and stretching is important kids. Dooo not go straight into hardcore riffing/shredding without having done any arm and finger stretches. Hell, don't start playing at all if you haven't done any stretches. It's one of the most common reasons for injuries.

Anywho, I tried to do a cover of Judas Priest's Leather Rebel. Nothing too complicated, just a lot of fun chugga chugga chugga riffing. There were some mistakes, and I totally bailed out on the mid section of the song, but it still feels good to be able to play it from beginning to end. Woo!

So after about 9 months of playing on my electric gueetar, I decided it was finally time to record some of my playing! I wouldn't have dared done this a couple months ago, but now that I can make some comprehensible melodies, I thought it was worth a shot, haha.

I was just messin around in the beginning, but towards the end I tried out a little of the Beyond the Realms of Death solo... with many, maaaany mistakes, heh. One day I'll play it without any problems.... one day!

Now... back to practicing scales, woo. :)

The HEAVY WEAPONS GUY

There's a rig for the Heavy Weapons guy online that anybody can go ahead and download. The model and textures look pretty official, but the actual rig itself? ...nyehhhh could use some work. Still, it was good enough to work with.

This was actually a collaborative effort between me and the uber awesome Ryan Moran. I animated the first shot of the Heavy jumping down, and Ryan followed it up with the next two shots... I think it works really well! We both added sound to it, including some of the Heavy's own dialogue from the game, heh. There are a couple things in my animation that irk me a bit... but I still like it! It was a fun little exercise. :D

GUITAR STUFF.

So part of the reason why I haven't been drawing as much lately is cus I got myself a new electric guitar! I bought it last December and have absolutely been loving it. Playing the guitar can be quite a rich, enjoyable, and profound experience... It's also stress relieving. Good stuff.

Paul Gilbert (Racer X, Mr. Big) and Glenn Tipton (Judas Priest), two of my biggest inspirations... Paul, because of his technical prowess, lightning fast playing, and the ability to do it all so cleanly. Glenn, because of his badass musical compositions. These guys make me wanna do nothing but sit on my ass and wail on my guitar all day.... because that's what they did, and that's what every other saucesome guitarist out there did. I've got my work cut out for me... D: But I'm willing to do what it takes!

ANYWHO. That's what's been goin on for me these days. A lack of art and an overflow of music... Boy this was a long entry... But I guess that's what happens after not posting for 6 months!

Herpa derpa thoughts

So I'm going through another "what the hell is the point of everything zomg galaxies and the UNIVERSE!!@$!^%@" phase...

I think we're all important. Each and every one of us have so much in our minds and our hearts... an immeasurable significance in all of us. In every person, there lies value... Pure and raw. Yea, even that douchebag over there. So it pains me to think of how when somebody passes away, all of those memories, all of that information, the joys, the pains, and the experiences inside that person vanish as well. That's why it's so hard for me to believe that that's all there is to this funny little thing called life. My mind rejects this notion like a foreign substance in my body. Do we really just live to eventually pass on and amount to nothing in the end? If so, why should I go on living. It just feels so pointless.

Today I visited my grand dad in the nursing home with my family. He's frail, at a pretty old age, and doesn't remember much these days. Names come and go, and whenever he does remember somebody, it takes quite a while for him to do so. I was never really close to him and honestly, like the jerk I am, I never really cared too much. But today, something happened. He became more than just a "grand dad" in my eyes. I saw him as a person with a lifetime's worth of experiences, as a person who loves, receives love, and as somebody with value and history. Like I said, he really doesn't remember much, and doesn't know what's going on most of the time. But when my grandma started clapping and saying the words to an old song they used to sing together, he immediately remembered it and sang along. It just goes to show how much of a strong memory he has of the song, of singing it with my grandma and how important it is to him. Obviously I was touched, and as I watched them singing, it suddenly became clear to me that these two have lived full lives together, filled to the brim with experiences and journeys I've never known about. Sometimes my family would ask my grand dad a simple question and he'd pause in deep thought, only to give us a totally nonsensical answer. We'd all laugh at just at how silly he sounded... It was a good time, but also bad... because beneath the smiles and the laughs, the thought that he'd be leaving us in the near future became ever prevalent in my mind. And in his current state, I can't really get to know him any better than I do now, because he doesn't even recognize me. One day, he will pass on and everything that makes him who he is, his essence, will go as well.

And when I think about this, my mind retorts... "Really? ...Is that it?"

I haven't made an entry like this in a long time, but I felt it important to document how I was feeling today. In the end, a forgotten experience is a useless one.

Went to a birthday party on Saturday for my friend Henry, and he had planned for us to make some huge bubbles outdoors... Super fun stuff! Homemade solution and some sticks with shoe laces attached is all we needed :) My buddy Jeff brought his saucesome camera and recorded some hd footage of it. Check it out!

Here are some Regina expressions I sketched out! I think I might stick with this new hair, since it was so damn hard to draw her old hair over and over. Lemme know what y'all think of it. I'm preparing to animate her in 2d... Hopefully it turns out alright!

On a side note, I've been watching 3:10 to Yuma over and over recently... Extremely well acted, crafted, and packs an emotional punch. Man I love that movie.

2d Test Anim

I've been meaning to do some 2d animation lately and now that I've got some time, I tried it out! Here's some random dude swinging a baseball bat.

It's super short and semi-lame, but still pretty good for someone who isn't an actual 2d animator I think. I did some pose to pose, as well as some straight ahead and came out with some interesting results...

It's pretty awesome that I can use my sense of timing and spacing, more or less, the same way in 2d as I do in 3d. It just reinforces the fact that 2d and 3d animation are very much the same... but sorta not. The concepts and ideas of animation transfer over perfectly, but hell.... drawing every single frame is so much harder than just rotating a control for an arm or a leg. Some people say that it's harder for 2d animators to move into 3d, because they have to start accounting for three dimensional space. Sure, I agree that that can be a little difficult at first. But really, at the end of the day, you're just manipulating a controller. If a 3d animator moves into 2d, manipulating a controller all of a sudden turns into trying to visualize an arm or a leg at a difficult angle, and then trying to draw it so that it's convincing to the viewer. Oh yea, and you also get no interpolation between keyframes. Gotta start from scratch! 2d is pretty hardcore. I already have a lot of respect for 2d animators out there, but even more after trying out this exercise.

I think I'm gonna try animating characters with faces next. Should be fun!

More doodles

I've been watching Blade Runner a lot recently, so these doodles are pretty Blade Runner-esque (except for that old cowboy and the samurai dude, heh)

The first time I watched Blade Runner was a couple years ago. While watching it, I was bored out of my mind. I nearly fell asleep, and was a little confused by the end. The second time I watched it.....I was bored out of my mind still.

I recently watched it again, and I understood and liked it. I think Blade Runner is a movie you just have to watch a bunch of times before you can really appreciate it. Took a long freaking time, but I can say I like the movie now, and not just because of its aesthetics. Speaking of aesthetics, holy crap. I mean this isn't news or anything but, jeez! The designs for all the props, wardrobes, vehicles and environments never fail to leave my jaw hanging. The movie's art and effects still hold up pretty damn well to this day, and I think that's proof of just how ahead of its time it was. ... I could go on and on, but this is stuff everybody already knows. Just gettin' it out there that I really like Blade Runner.

I'm pretty much in love with anything 80's sci-fi... I think it first spawned long ago when I played a game that had a lot of synth beats and electronica music in it. It really caught my attention and I loved the sound of it. From then on, whenever I heard any music that was synth heavy, I got pretty excited. As my taste in movies matured, I started watching old movies to see what I've been missing. A lot of old sci-fi movies had synth scores, and thus I became hooked. The mesmerizing sound of synth music mixed with childhood memories of watching hilariously gory, sci-fi movies like Total Recall, Terminator, Running Man (heh) or Robocop on tv really just created in me, a love for this stuff. 80's sci fi. Fuck. Yes.

I may be wrong, but I think as far as great synth scores go, Blade Runner is the ultimate example. Check it out!

Long time no post!

I've slowly been slipping away from drawing, but just recently got very inspired to keep at it and get better. I think it's amazing how just a couple minutes spent looking at great artwork can inject so much drive and passion into an artist.

Funny then, that the pictures below aren't any of the drawings I've made after having been inspired recently. Nope, these are old poops I've found laying around that I think are still worth posting. My newer drawings will be posted sometime soon though!

Sometimes I forget just how fulfilling drawing can be. Pencil and paper, it's so simple. Yet therein lie infinite possibilities! There have been times when I'm drawing, and I think to myself, "I can do just this for the rest of my life and be happy". Add in a lifetime supply of Honey Bunches of Oats, and damn if it ain't true.

Pop Secret "Dark Knight"

Here is the first of three Pop Secret spots I've been working on over at Nathan Love! They are all based on movies, and this first one is based on The Dark Knight. It just started airing on tv. Check it out!

I animated Grandma's ~~demise~~ popping, and most of the shots of Bobby, save for the last shot, and the one where Grandma jumps off the sofa. I've had the pleasure of working with some great people over at Nathan Love these past few months. Every day is a blast, and I'm really proud of all the work we churn out. Two more of these spots are on the way. I'm sure they'll be just as awesome!

Knockin' on Heaven's Door

My body is always tired, but my mind just wants to bust out the story and comic for Revenant. Ah yea, and to add on top of the fact that there's a dumb vampire craze going on, I just found out that there's a movie coming out called, you guessed it, The Revenant. I think I went nuts after I found that out... The story isn't the slightest bit similar, in fact its title probably serves the movie better than mine, but still! Now I'm considering changing the title for my story. Crap.

Anywho, here is a rather lazy cg I made of Regina using one of my old sketches. I really want to make this a movie someday... hence, the cheesy film grain and depth of field.

I've been writing the script for Revenant (now tentative title) on my commutes to and from work every day. It's a slow and grueling process that takes massive amounts of tweaking, chin scratching, and actually acting out the scenes myself (mentally of course). It takes an asston of time to get the dialogue right, and even more to make sure that each character is, well, staying in character. It's slow. But if this is what it takes to get it right, I'll drag my fat ass through it. It will get done. Comic, movie, 3d short, WHATEVER. Something will come of this.

p.s - Uncharted 2 is one of my favorite games ever.

Revenant sketches

Long time since my last post... Been pretty tired as of late, and the only real time I have to draw anything is on my commute to work. I'll whip out the moleskine and try to draw as best as I can on the shaky train. Sometimes I get pretty into it and the 45 minute ride goes by fast. Other times I'll be too tired and just sleep, haha. Most of the drawings in the sketchbook are Regina related. And that brings me to another point. I think I have a name for my comic/movie/whatever the hell it is. It's still tentative, but Revenant, will do for now. I'll try to refer to it using that name instead of calling it "Regina's story" all the time. Here are the sketches, hope ya like.

Welp, that's it for now. I've been getting immeasurably irked by the amount of vampire related movies that have been coming out/getting announced. It really saddens me to think that Revenant could get bogged down in all the other vampire movies out there. But now that I think about it, it's not like it will be finished any time soon. If it ever does get released in any form, it will probably be a looong time from now. So here's to hoping that by then, this gay vampire craze will have died down.

So here is the same animation clip I posted before, but this time Sam has a nCloth poncho! I am not a dynamics guy, so screwing around and tweaking the attributes using nCloth was definitely challenging. After having done this, I still wouldn't say that I'm the slightest bit competent with nCloth, but hey, at least I got somewhere with it.

I had to attach the neck and shoulder area of the poncho to Sam's mesh accordingly. This was so that the poncho wouldn't go flying off of Sam while spinning or jumping... It's not perfect, every now and then it'll bunch up, and look funkadelic but for the most part it looks pretty poncho-ish. Hope ya dig it Eric. Enjoy!

Just a warning. This post is pretty damn long. It's a walkthrough of some animation I've been working on. Read on if you'd like. If you don't, I don't blame ya.

Sam Animation

After my senior year ended, I asked my buddy Eric if I could animate his thesis character, Sam, just for fun. He let me use it, and he even made another character for Sam to fight against! His name is Todd. Saucesome.

I wanted to animate Sam because I always saw him doing some pretty nifty things in my head. I would always choreograph crazy, cartoony action in my mind and it just begged to be animated. I couldn't help it! And though it took a while for me to actually get started on the damn thing, I'm finally getting somewhere.

So here ya go! This clip is the first quarter of the main action sequence I saw in my mind. If I was forced to choose just one scene from my head to animate, it would be this one. Also, this is all kinda rough and lacks polish... heh.

This second clip is the exactly the same as the first, but without any camera animation. It's purpose is to help you concentrate on just the characters' animations.

Pretty short, I know.
The first shot you see has Sam giving Todd the one, two punch.

If you look closely, Sam's first punch is actually aimed right at Todd's crotch. I was worried that I'd have to animate Todd in excruciating pain, but thankfully it happens so quick that nobody would really notice. Next is the uppercut. I don't know if its noticeable, but Sam's fists are actually getting bigger for a couple frames as he's punching. I had to do this because Sam's hands are normally kinda small, and it would be hard to tell that Sam's uppercut is actually an uppercut. Once I made it bigger however, it reads more easily as a punch, while adding just a tiny pinch of squash and stretch.

As for poor Todd, he was just enjoying the nice landscape view when Sam suddenly bumrushes him. He looks like the victim, but really, this is taken out of context. Todd is the badguy.

Next, Sam does a funny spin towards Todd, and trips him.

The spin is there because that's how I imagined Sam fighting. He's a pretty wacky cartoon character, and I thought he'd be the kinda guy who moves really fast, all over the place. Although....I don't know what other people think of it, haha.

Sam then jumps on top of the spinning pile of flesh that is Todd, and kicks him down while jumping over to the other side and delivers the final blow.

I wanted Sam to have a cool pose at the end of the shot, so I held him there for a while and it successfully telegraphs, "I just uppercutted your ass sky high biaatch". Although, the pose itself could've been stronger, heh. The impact of the uppercut itself is supported by a cheesy punch special effect I quickly made in maya, and a handy little camera shake. Also, the juxtaposition of a quick, two frame punch and the long hold on Sam's "uppercut" pose helps create a greater sense of impact as well.

And finally, the little rocks and boulders on the ground and that big block behind Sam and Todd are only there to help give a sense of movement in 3d space. With nothing on the ground or behind the characters, it's pretty hard to get a sense of how much distance they're covering when moving around.

Welp, that about wraps up this animation walkthrough. There are more to come later on.

I did not write all this out because I think my animation is the shit and I wanted to show you all how awesomeness is achieved. In fact, it's quite the opposite. I am still an animation noob. I really do think my animations kinda suck. I have so much to learn it's not even funny. I know there are plenty of hitches and mistakes in all my work and frankly, by the end I'm never satisfied with what I have.

I've just been working for a while on these and it's nice to finally open up and talk about my work and some of the things I went through during the process. That's all.

SO. If you have any suggestions, let me know! I'm still learning a lot and I'm open to new ideas.

Ahh....my sleeping schedule is totally out of wack. It's been slowly shifting from ridiculous to just plain stupid. I think I might stay up a day to try and reset it...

On the plus side, I've been working on my Regina story and its been going along pretty well. I've made the very basic plot outline and I've started writing the story with dialogue. Feels good to be getting it down in stone. I view this whole story as a live action movie, but I think I might start making a comic out of it (as bad as I am at comics). :) Too tired right now, but I'll post pics of some of the characters later. I won't give away much yet, but all I can say is my story got a lot more tragic than I initially expected it to be. O_o

Oh yea, and I really want to make movies. Film school...? Too many things in the way, especially financially. But we'll see. Bwa!

Haven't done much drawing lately, but I've yet to post the entry I made for Udon's Darkstalkers tribute contest. So here it is...

Demitri in all his vampiric glory! It's kinda boring, and can seem a little homosexual if taken the wrong way, but his Midnight Bliss move warrants him the pretty little rose, so take that.

In other news, a while ago I found somebody on deviantart who more or less copied Leon and Claire from my R.E. fanart pic and called it his own drawing, heh. As soon as I saw the pic, I saved it so that one day I can make a post about it!

So, I've been drawing pictures for my co-workers for some time now and it's been a nice way to keep myself from getting artistically stagnant. I'll make a couple inked, shaded drawings every week for some co-workers, and on Friday I hand them all out. :)

Pretty much all of the requested superheroes have muscles, so I've been getting a lot of anatomy practice heh. The few remaining drawings I have to do include Rorschach(Watchmen), Earthworm Jim, a ninja turtle(any I'm assuming) and there are two others I have to do, but I don't know which heroes yet.

Ok, so I already failed to make a new post within one week. That's pretty sad. That said, I will still try to post stuff here as often as I can.

Here's a picture of Wolverine I drew for a friend. Line art was inked, and since I was too scared to use pen to shade it, I used pencil. Still came out pretty nice I think...

I haven't inked anything in ages, so before I inked the Wolverine pic, I tried test inking a crappy picture to see how I would do. All I can say is....

(Crappy, old micron pens) + (a very unsteady hand) = poop.

Hi guys. So.... I have a tendency to post on my blog and disappear for a long period of time before coming back. Well.. NO MORE! I will be trying to post here at least once a week to keep my blog from getting stagnant. And if any of you notice that I haven't posted, please feel free to give me a swift kick in the ass, or send me a message of similar impact. Weekly blog updates, here I come!

Since that's out of the way, there are a couple things I wanted to share...

I've used this blog in the past to keep track of my thesis progress, but I've never posted the finished product here. I'm an idiot for that. My thesis has been finished for months now. So without further ado, here is the link to Alien Abduction, and some production stills from the short.

Next, here's a random picture of one of my characters that I drew recently. I have a colored version, but its terribly weak, so I will just be posting the line art here. Maybe I will color it again someday?

And finally....the weather. It has been freezing here. I have a hard time falling asleep these days because my apartment feels like a freezer. My dinner is hot when made, but by the time I bring it to the table to eat, its already getting cold. Some days I wake up and I just don't want to move. I want to stay curled up like a ball and stay inside the little pocket of warm air in my blanket...

BUT.

I will still take any freezing day over a stinking hot day of summer. Because in the end, there is only so much you can take off, but endless layers you can pile on.

Hi all, I'm still alive! I just lost the will to post anything here for ages. Soooo... A lot of stuff happened between now and my last post. For instance, I graduated SVA. I also work as a freelance 3d animator. I get tired more easily. A lot of stuff. I was going to put my post graduation thoughts here and reflect upon what I learned during my four years at SVA, but I think I'll save that for when my eyelids can stay open. For now I'll just share with you some old drawings and doodles.

Alright. Ever since I heard they were making a dragonball movie, I thought it was gonna be crap. Then I saw some really blurry photos of the actors in their costumes. And then I KNEW it was gonna be crap. But....

.....WHAT THE HELL.

I wasn't aware Goku spent two hours doing his hair every morning.
Dragonball should never have been made into live action. It just. Doesn't. Work. (especially when a caucasian person gets chosen to play an asian protagonist)

I don't get it... What is up with the geeky little asian boys in the computer art department who pick a seat right next to you, and shamelessly stare at what you're working on. It happened to Eric, and now it's happening to me. It's the weirdest feeling to have some stranger sitting next to you, sneaking in multiple glances at your monitor, thinking that you can't see them....Perhaps they haven't heard of peripheral vision. The asian kid next to me was annoying as hell... He was listening to weird, obnoxious music, talking to his friend (who was just as annoying) about his favorite concept art, and kept tapping his fingers on the keyboard loudly, NONSTOP.
..... I was about to punch his face in. Thankfully, he left just as I was reaching my boiling point.

GAHH.

Not much to say...... just a little scared of how school finished so quickly. I haven't had much time to draw or paint anything cus of thesis, but now that I've gotten over the biggest hump of the year, I'll start to post more stuff.

Here's some random WWII spy chick....too lazy to color it...bah.
Btw, she's holding a (badly drawn) mauser c-96. The most uber awesome-ist german pistol of all time. I used it all the time in RE4, heheh....

I will post my thesis here soon. The visuals are all done, I just need to get the sound finished.

The effects of my senior thesis

I looked at myself in the mirror this morning and it literally looked like I was dying. My face was as pale as ever, and I had some extreme bags under my eyes. Not enough sleep. I feel like a burnt out 30 year old in a 21 year old body, and I'm not even in the industry yet. Gotta watch out for that, getting old in a young body...But it's mornings like this when I view the world differently, and I feel the most together. My life makes more sense and has more structure on these types of mornings. I don't know why, but that's just the way it is. Maybe my mind subconsciously refuses to be defeated and retaliates by reorganizing my thoughts and keeping my emotions in check.

Or maybe its just the coffee.

Either way, game on.

Thesis Progress

Sup guys, took a while but here's an updated look at my thesis progress.

So I decided to change the location of my cow from a planet to a floating island/asteroid. There's a bunch of reasons why I did this, but I'll just say that in the end, it saves me a lot of trouble. XD Here's a quick concept I did (still using that ancient matte painting).

And here is my animation progress! About halfway done I'd say....Gotta crank out the rest quick! Hope I can do it!

Winter vacation is gone....*sob*
It's gone, but I had a good time. Got to relax big time and catch up on a bunch of games I've been missing out on. I actually didn't draw that much this vacation, but I did work on this RE fanart. I was actually inspired to make this because I first saw Dan's RE fanart of Rebecca. This one includes Leon and Claire, with Ada and Chris in the background. I had a lot of fun working on it during vacation but then I ran out of steam. When I came back to my apartment, Eric gave me a renewed energy to finish up the piece, so here it is.

I am slowly starting to draw less and less, and it's scaring the crap out of me. I've got to start pushing myself to draw more, else I will remain as the "once in a while CG" man.

Anywho...school is starting soon, and I haven't done much thesis work at all. I've been baaad. Must get back on track...

Mass Effect, Oh how I love thee...

If you own an xbox 360, there's really no question about whether or not you should play Mass Effect. If you own a 360 and you don't know what Mass Effect is, then you probably don't play many games, and shouldn't have a 360.

Bam!

I've just beat this monster of an rpg (actually, the game is only about 20 to 30 hours) and I don't know what to do with myself. I'm completely overflowing with excitement for the game that the only outlet I felt that would do anything right now is to type it out, hence the new post. This game is a good example of something that's greater than the sum of its parts. The visuals, the combat, role-playing, sound and best of all, the story all come together to create an amazing and credible universe that you want to explore. Speaking of story, WOW. The complex plot and numerous revelations in this game blew me away. When you're policing an entire galaxy, traveling from one space cluster to another, ensuring the safety of all life as you know it, the word "epic" barely begins to describe the plot. I think I can safely say that this is one of the best science fiction stories that have ever been told. I won't say much about what actually happens in the story as I don't want to ruin it for those who'll be playing the game. All I'll say is that there is an ancient threat returning to the galaxy and you, a measly human, are the only hope.

The sound in the game is just as good, and you probably won't hear any voice acting better than this in some time. The amount of recorded dialogue in the game is a bit ridiculous, but in a good way. It just goes to show how passionate the people who were making this game were. I'm also in love with the music. Any music that uses 80's style electronica and synth beats are always a plus. Calling the music saturated is a good way to describe it. It's very thick and filled to the brim with darkness and wonder. Its ominous tones well suit the kind of evil you face in the galaxy, and the more fun, futuristic melodies help ground you in the colorful, technologically advanced societies.

Agh, I could go on and on. Oh, and one more thing I'll say about the game is that they force you to make some pretty difficult decisions. You know, defending the galaxy ain't all that easy. I'll leave it at that, heh.

Anywho, play the game! If you don't have a 360 that sucks...but you can always buy one...and then play the game! Otherwise I'll only have one or two people I can talk to about Mass Effect... -__-;;

- Still conceptualizing how my thesis will look, using the same background picture over and over. Eric helped me out a lot with this giving me the cinammon swirl suggestion and adding more color/saturation to make it more cartoony. Thanks!

- This is a rough edit of my thesis so far. There are some funky areas like the last shot's transition. But for the most part, this is it. I'm open to any suggestions as I still have tons to learn about animation, so if you guys have anything to say, hit me.

Welp, I've enjoyed my brief return to the world of this so called "b-logging". Expect me to return in another four months.

So...this is very rough, but here's a first style frame I made for my thesis. In fact, here's the first post showing progress of my thesis. In fact fact, I have a thesis. Wonderful eh?

Here is the main character of my thesis. For now he is nameless....and so is my thesis. That probably should've been the first order of business when starting preproduction...ahem.

So what you see above is a quick cheesy render of my alien character,(still needs a face and antenna rig) and the background is a space painting made in photoshop. All my backgrounds will be painted in this fashion and they'll be composited in after effects. The planet that the alien is standing is just a duplicate of the one in the background since I was too lazy to make a new one. Hm...I guess that's all for now. I could show some more stuff but I'm feeling a bit lazy at the moment. More work will be posted up soon. Hope you like it.

I've been watching Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, and made my own ganmen, muahaha.

Here's the first of two images I copied from a model reference book while at a book store.

Female models are a lot more fun to draw than male models... O_o

I'm not as good as I'd like to be at creating original characters or stories, so sometimes it's nice to tell my mind to just shut up and copy some images from books, life, etc. There's not as much stress as creating something original but it's still very enjoyable. I need to do this more often...
